One of my favorite memories with my Dad growing up was riding in the Leelanau Harvest Tour. It’s hard to believe I used to be able to bike 20 miles or more! Leelanau County offers many scenic roads that allow for amazing rides and views throughout the county.

The tour takes place on Sunday, September 19th, 2010 and starts at Glen Lake High School. Camping is available on Saturday night on the school grounds. The tour features 25, 45, 67 and 100 mile routes.

Leelanau Harvest Tour at Active.com

Almost 200 riders are set for the 2nd Annual Tour de Leelanau this Saturday. The men’s race starts at 10:00 AM in Leland, while the women start at approximately 11:35 at the Homestead near Glen Arbor. Both races are longer than last year. After a successful first year the Tour de Leelanau will return this September for a 2nd annual race. The race will take place on Saturday, September 16th. More info will be available soon on their website.
