It doesn’t get much tougher than playing Traverse City St. Francis on the road, but that’s how Suttons Bay will begin it’s 2007 football season. The two schools have only played twice before (St. Francis is 2-0) with the last meeting in 1998, a 53-6 St. Francis win. Since the 2000 season however both schools have almost identical records. Norsemen coach Joe Trudeau said it could be a “playoff-like atmosphere” and I wouldn’t expect anything less. The Norsemen were 12-1 last season while the Glads went 10-2.
Kickoff is set for 7pm at Thirlby Field.
