If they don't win the Championship within 2 years, that trade will be looked at as a mistake. Ray Allen's old legs will not hold up and Paul Pierce is an injury waiting to happen. Will see how KG likes playing with his new team when Allen and Pierce are both on the shelf for significant time. As far as the Tigers not making a move at the deadline...I agree and disagree. I agree with the fact that nobody out there was worth trading Maybin for. However, it seems like they are completely sold on the fact that Rodney and Zumaya will return to last year's form. Hopefully they are right. It would have been nice to get one more quality arm in that bullpen just in case. Either way, I see them back in the Fall Classic. Keep up the good stuff, love this blog.
