Ford owns the boards as Shock win Game 1
Cheryl Ford grabbed a postseason-record 23 boards to help lead the Detroit Shock to a 70-59 win over the Connecticut Sun. Games 2 and 3 of the best-of-three series are in Connecticut. Deanna Nolan was the high scorer with 21 points as the Shock look to advance to the WNBA Finals for the first time since their 2003 Championship.

They swept the season series so hopefully that will carry over to the next couple games for them here this post season. No offense to the ladies but I was hoping we would be giving the Palace a new address this summer (5 Championship Drive) but because a different team won a title.
