I was out of town for a couple of days and very busy at work, just trying to get things caught up. Here’s a post so you know I am alive.

Opinions on five current Detroit & national sports topics from yours truly…

1. NFL - Just get the deal done! Is it really that hard to figure it out? But that’s what happens when you get billionaires and millionaires together.

2. World Baseball Classic - I still wish it was a different time of year, but I will admit I am following it.

3. Michigan State - Disapointing loss sends MSU limping into the Big Ten Tourney. This team is very hard to figure out. Inconsistent play is a understatement. I just don’t think they are tough enough to make a run this year.

4. Michigan - My wife and I were watching the second half and you could see it coming. A couple of bad plays down the stretch doomed the Wolverines once again versus the Hoosiers. Not sure where Michigan is going to end up come tournament time.

5a. Spring Training - It’s here and going strong. The Tigers appear to be very healthy and should be ready to roll under Leyland.

5b. Pistons & Wings - They are both doing so well, they get lost in the shuffle.
