Super Bowl Whoop-De-Do

I am having a hard time getting excited for the Super Bowl. Sure I am planning on having people over and making the normal game food menu, the Steelers are my second favorite team, it all sounds good on paper. The problem I keep running into is one way or the other, I just don’t care about the Seahawks. I don’t love ‘em and I don’t hate ‘em. Shaun Alexander, yawn. He’s a great player, but not one of my favorites. Matt Hasselback, another yawn. So it’s making it hard to get into the game.
Is anyone else having this problem? or is it just me?

Yeah, I’m yawning, too. I was hoping Denver would get in, but Bettis is a good story (see: overdone). I’m more curious to see how the press talks about the city.

You just don’t live in the right part of the country. Out here in the Northwest no one is yawning at the Seahawks! We’ve been season ticket holders for 20 years and were at the NFC Championship Game last Sunday.
The Seahawks are an exciting team. Great running game, efficient West Coast passing game, a defense that’s better than you think. And many of the key players* are under contract for several years so this team should contend for a while. (*Alexander excepted … for now.)
The Seahawks and Steelers (also a team we like, except when they play the Seahawks) have a lot of similarities which could mean a closely contested game. Worth more than a yawn to be sure.
We are searching for a pair of tickets for the Super Bowl — without having to second mortgage our house. You see, my wife got a degree in ECONOMICS from U. of Michigan! (While she was earning that, I was managing the Burger King on Liberty St. just off campus … oh, to be 21 again!)
If anyone has access to tickets, please contact us at audrey@woodbloom.com.
Go Seahawks!

True Kevin, I hope Detroit survives the press remarks.
I will I could help you on the tickets Ken and Audrey, I can’t believe the prices they are going for!
I am sure it will be a good game and maybe after I can say the Seahawks are exciting, but just leading up to it the game just isn’t grabbing my attention.
Although that could mean that it’s just two good teams, where no personalities are trying to grab the limelight, that can’t be all bad I guess.
