I spent the night trying to watch this game, the Pistons, and Lost, all at the same time. Wasn’t easy… Michigan played their best game of the season, but this is the obvious big story. The Sun Belt Confrence level officiating.
U-M 27 - 34 from the line, Sparty 6 - 10. That kind of discrepancy will bring out the tin foil hat brigade in droves. It’s a Big 10 conspiracy to prop up the Wolverines!

Come on man, leave the officials out of this, suddenly Spartan fan is starting to sound like Wolverine fan… wait, did I just rip myself?
Anyway I think the bigger “conspiracy” here is that I really think Izzo gave the Wolverines the game. He knows he has an Elite Eight/Final Four caliber team here, while U of M is lucky to be a “bubble” team at best. So, he let them have this win just to make them feel better about themselves.
It is the same thing we do for the Spartan football team, every know and then we Wolverines let you win too! I mean, if we won all the time, would you guys still want to play? So, Izzo did for us what Carr has done for you in the past.

The officiating wasn’t great, but the Spartans didn’t play well down the stretch either.
How’s Lost now? I haven’t really had a chance to watch much lately and will have to catch up on DVD someday…

Good points, Sports Dude. It’s nice to let the other guys get one every once in while.
I know I am very grateful when U of M gives one to MSU. It really makes my entire fall/winter that much better!
