Jeff Gordon at Fox Sports puts together a list of the best games of 2005. It’s always hard for me to remember back throught the entire year, but I think he did get the best ones. Among them were:

Michigan State double overtime win over Kentucky in the NCAA Tournament Regional Finals and the Pistons loss in Game 5 of the NBA Finals to the Spurs. (This one still hurts…)

Honorable mentions went to Texas win over Michigan in the Rose Bowl and the Pistons win over the Heat in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

I would have included the Michigan State win at Notre Dame in college football, mostly because that was the high point of the season for my Spartans.
