Roy, Joey lead Lions to win over Cardinals as NFC North goes 4-0

Even with how well the Lions played it wasn’t over until Cory Redding knocked down a Kurt Warner 4th down pass in the final seconds as the Lions held on for a 29-21 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Joey was the man, as he finished with his second highest quarterback rating in his career as he found Roy Williams for three touchdown passes. Kevin Jones ran well and the defense was solid despite injuries the the top three cornerbacks. This was a much needed win, with games at Dallas and against Atlanta on Thanksgiving looming. I don’t see any way Harrington isn’t the starter in Dallas, but we shall see.

They remain two games behind the Bears who used an NFL record 108 yard return on a missed field goal to beat the 49ers, and tied with the Vikings who managed to win despite not scoring an offensive touchdown. The Packers even held on in Atlanta. That’s why you just have to love the NFL, any team can beat any other team on “any given Sunday”.

This is not going to be an easy stretch for the Lions, travelling down to Dallas and returning home to play Atlanta four days later. I just think it is funny that Mooch refuses to commit to Joey, but I guess he realizes his ass in on the line and wants his guy in there to try and help him save it. It is all aboout trust and I think we know by now Mooch ain’t got none when it comes to Joey. Can’t blame the cat, but what a soap opera it has turned into!

Hey, is Barry coming back yet?!?!

    Later.
