It was an exciting night for the state of Michigan college hoops fans. Oakland University fans were very excited as their team earned it’s first ever ticket to the Big Dance. University of Detroit fans will have to wait another year, as the Titans fall just short.

My view: Oakland upgraded their non-conference schedule big time and as coach Greg Kampe has said it really helped them last night. The Golden Grizzlies will draw a #1 seed most likely, but could make a game interesting. When Brandon Cotton first transferred to U of D, I was disappointed that it didn’t work out at MSU, but after watching a couple of his games toward the end of the season, he made the right move. He is a real good player who could play anywhere and will help put U of D back on the map. Watch out for the Titans next year.
