MSU women capture Big Ten Tournament Title

One word sums up this win, defense. MSU won this game by playing suffocating defense. They held Minnesota scoreless for the last 4 minutes and 16 seconds and held Gophers All-American Janel McCarville to two points and 1-for-17 from the field. This might be enough to give MSU a #1 seed in the upcoming women’s tourney. Glen Lake’s Liz Shimek led the Spartans with 15 points.
