Baseball Card Collectors, check this out!

Look what they found

Ferndale couple discovers baseball cards in basement that might be small fortune - Freep article by George Sipple

Being a sportscard collector myself, I always love to hear about a story like this, and wish that something like that would happen to me! Multiple old Ty Cobb cards, man, that’s awesome! I love it when old cards are found, especially some of the old tobacco cards. I used to have a couple of these cards in the baseball card store I managed, they were very cool.

I can not say I am a card collector, but still have some of my odd ball cards from when I was a kid. You know, those Topps packs that came with the crappy gum that lost its flavor in 2 seconds but you were always excited about? Why was that?

I still have an entire boxed set from I think the 1985 season that I have NEVER opened. It is still in its box, wrapped in plastic even. It is only Topps, so it probably is not worth anything, but I have no idea what is inside. I always joke with myself I should see what all my cards are worth, but then get scared because I am afraid they aren’t worth crap and don’t want to get depressed. Still, to me, I think it is neat I have a box of cards that is 20 years old that I never opened. Later!
