Swin Cash gets new deal from Detroit Shock
United Press International
The WNBA’S Detroit Shock announced the re-signing of all-star forward Swin Cash to a three-contract.
Cash was the team’s leading scorer with 16.4 points per contest last season. She also averaged 6.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 32 games.
The former Connecticut all-American is one of only five women to win an NCAA title, a WNBA Championship and an Olympic Gold Medal.
“I am excited to have re-signed with the Shock for the next three years,” Cash said Thursday. “The organization’s support has been impeccable since they drafted me in 2002.”
My view: Obviously this is a good move. Locking up your superstar is key and Cash is no doubt the Shock’s superstar.
