TC North Stars have first season ticket holder
Traverse City man ‘thrilled’ about new NAHL team

Traverse City — The Traverse City North Stars don’t have their first player yet, but they have their first season ticket holder.
Traverse City accountant Steve Peacock will be the first person to receive season tickets once they are issued, team general manager and head coach Scott Gardiner said.
“I’m thrilled,” Peacock said. “I think the whole concept of bringing the NAHL to Traverse City will be great.”
The North Stars begin play in the North American Hockey League this fall, and are expected to begin officially signing players soon.
Peacock wasn’t a season ticket holder for the TC Enforcers, and said the North Stars were more attractive to him because of the stability and reputation of the USA Hockey-sanctioned league. The Enforcers and their Continental Elite Hockey League folded last year.
My view: More proof that northern Michigan loves it’s hockey. This should be a fun team to watch, they play in a competitive and established league.
