Just saw this on ESPN’s Daily Quickie! Crazy!
Paid-to-Braid! In one of the most innovative NBA marketing ploys in the last decade, General Motors has paid Rip Hamilton to braid his hair to look like their new Assurance TripleTred tire. He started wearing the look a few days ago, and will keep it for another week or so. Check it out.

I think it is kind of funny and creative if you ask me. Saw a picture of it in “The Freep” and, to me, unless I knew it was suppose to be Goodyear Tire treads I would have no clue! To me it just looks like another corn row pattern - you seen one you’ve seen them all! If I had not read the article I would have had no clue. Creative and different - yes. However, I do think it is good that they put the article out there because otherwise it may have gone unnoticed and been over looked. I am telling you, soon players will get temporary tattoos and use their bodies as bill boards! I say temporary because I can not see them making it permanent for any amount of money. Or, how about a bald player like Chauncey putting a logo or something on top of his head! AHHHH - endorsements - I love this game!!!!
