Traverse City - Nate Robertson was excited when the Detroit Tigers decided to pursue high-priced free agents during the off-season.

He was disappointed when the Tigers - after signing closer Troy Percival early in the free agent process - struck out on several big name stars.

Still, the 27-year-old lefthander thinks team president Dave Dombrowski has a move or two up his sleeve.

“The team we have now will probably not be the team that we’ll open the season with,” said Robertson, who spoke at an Associated Press sports editors meeting this week.

Robertson alluded to last off-season, when Dombrowski signed All-Star catcher Ivan Rodriguez in February - just days before the start of spring training.
