My view: The scary part to me is who would be our starting quarterback? To have no one lined up could be very bad. This should be interesting…

I think it would be a great move! I have never liked Joey Harrington and said when they drafted him it was a bad move. However, I do agree that it is a little scary not having someone else in place. But, I will use the Mooch hiring a couple years ago as an example - Millen only fired Morningweg when he knew he all but had Mooch signed, sealed and delivered. Otherwise, he was going to let Morningweg ride the year out and just see what happened. Bad example maybe, but my point is that I think Millen would only be so bold if he knew that he had a QB there waiting to come on board, be the Lions starter and do something Joey has no clue about - win games and look like a real QB, not a ballerina in a helmet!
Now, here is my interesting thought of the morning - a sign and trade with San Diego! I will post about my thoughts on that later, for now I got to read the article from Tom Kowalski! Oh, happy days - no more Joey, I hope! The sports dude!

I would love to see a sign and trade with San Diego for Brees. I think he would fit the Lions system perfectly. I also won’t miss Harrington if this ends up being true, too many times I have watched him light up lesser foes for big games and then completely tank against others.
I think he’s been given enough chances.
