Will Harrington retain aggressive attitude if things go bad?

That’s what he said on Sunday and that’s what he said on Monday and there’s no other way to interpret that. It’s an act of defiance.

What’s going to be interesting in the final two games of the season is just how far Detroit Lions quarterback Joey Harrington leads his revolt.

Following Detroit’s 28-27 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, a game in which Harrington should’ve played the hero, he admitted that he’s finished with Detroit’s conservative offensive approach.

Allen Park — If the Detroit Lions look at their latest loss — their seventh in the last eight games — as a simple case of a botched point-after attempt, they’re kidding themselves.

Sure, the Lions might’ve won the game if they had converted the extra point and gone to overtime, but only if they had won the coin toss. While the Lions’ defense has not played poorly overall in the last six weeks, they have showed a vulnerability late in games. Dating back to Halloween, the Lions have given up late scores whenever the opponent needed it most. It happened against Dallas, Jacksonville and Green Bay and in both Minnesota games.

A lot has been said about the special teams failure and Joey Harrington’s gutsy performance, but the Lions clearly have other issues.
