Dad defends son

Artest’s father, in an interview with the New York Daily News, pleaded with fans: “Don’t hate my son.”

“You don’t even know him,” said Ron Artest Sr. of Queens. “Go to Queensbridge. Ask them. They all loved him. Look at Ron’s history. He’s never hurt anybody. He’s never dealt in drugs. … He’s full of love.”
